Research of Detection Platform in Green House Based on CAN Bus

With the developing of micro-electric technology and computer technology, detection technology has made a great change. Network detection technology is a new network testing and control technology developed quickly in recent years. But, the study of network virtual instrument is mostly based on blocking bus and some independent bus using in instruments. In the green house, the above-mentioned is not very well in transmission distance, transmit speed, reliability, interference immunity and cost performance. As a field bus, CAN, there are many advantages, such as non-destructive bus arbitration, exactly error detecting and definition; remote transmission distance and high speed in CAN bus. So it can satisfy the needs of detection well in green house.It was designed a type of remote detection platform based on CAN bus by using LabVIEW.It is involved the structure of platform, related protocols, hardware build, user interface and data acquisition software. It used PC as the host, send and receive instruction through CAN/USB adapter. In industrial field, signal was acquired by sensors and then through signal conditioning circuit to send to data acquisition module. After this, it is sent to CAN bus when completed the task of AD convert and CAN bus sending. It is used LabVIEW to design data acquisition and control software that CAN realize displaying and data filtering, and on the other time, use this software it CAN feedback result to bus.It is completed to select hardware module and built the whole system. And also, it used LabVIEW to design the data acquisition software. Hard ware includes CAN/USB adapter, data acquisition module and CAN repeaters for extengding. The software can realize communication between host and data acquisition module through CAN bus. It also can acquire, display and store data in PC. And the graphic human interface can realize monitoring and management in industry field easily. It is fit for remote multi channel data acquisition and control. In the filed, it can connect many data acquisition module, and with easily extended, well flexibility. And the same time, some function is realized by soft ware not hardware, it saves the cost.
