Alongwiththe developmentofmobilecommunicationtechnology,MobileAdHocNetworks have received more and more attention because of its fast and agility set-up,and strong survivability. It's routing protocol, which is the key of Mobile Ad HocNetworks, become the hot spot of research on network also. Firstly, the characteristic,application and difficulty of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks are introduced. Secondly, theDynamic Source Routingand the capacityof Mobile Ad Hoc Networks are introduced.Based on it, the feasibility of large-scale Mobile Ad Hoc Networks and someshortcoming of DSR which is showed when it run in the large-scaleMobile Ad HocNetworks are analyzed. Thirdly, through analyze the relationship of node speed, datagenerationrateandroute expirytime,anewadaptedroutingalgorithm is proposed.Thesimulation results show it really can improve the performance of Mobile Ad HocNetworks. Last, In order to satisfy the need of the contemporary simulation, this paperpropose a plan of parallelsimulation which is realized by OPNET and WinSock basedonDSRprotocol.
