Nowadays,a single high-performance computer can not suit for the development of high-performance application. With the development of computer network and distributed system, using inter-connected multi computer to solve complicated problem has become many people's first choice. Currently, distributed computing has developed to grid computing stage. Grid computing has been considered to be the next generation of distributed computing. The goal of the grid computing is connecting the many kinds of the geography distributes,isomerism resources through the high speed network, completes computation task together. The Globus tool bag achievement as the system software of constructing the Grid computing system has provided a series of services module which the solution of grid computing problem needs, causes the application procedure to change quite easily.Grid computing is emerging as one of the hottest research topics all over the world, most of correspond projects are concentrated on the operation of its core system and how to organize the low layer's components in an effectively way. Research about Grid computing's application focuses on the mainframe computers,but fewer on microcomputes which exist mainly in LAN. The application of LAN resources in computation grid,a poticular type of Grid,it is the innovations of this paper.Firstly this article has analyzed the background which the grid produced, the concept, the basic characteristic as well as the research present situation. Then, the article has discussed the grid system structure and so on about the grid technology. After labor the LAN interconnection network access,compared and analyzed the two ways of LAN join the computation grid,proposed the manner of cluster construction by the use of PVM and joined its management node to computation grid. Then study the process of cluster construction based on PVM,programed the cluster auto-construction for need by PVM; researched the mothed of constructing Grid node and programmed a Grid Service Interface.Finally,a small program which based on MASTER/SLAVE mode in PVM was consulted to validate the cluster system.
