Research and Design of LDPC-STBC Coding System

As the needs of wireless communication service grow rapidly at modern society, it has brought forward higher request to the development of communication technology. It requirements the modern digital wireless communications can not only provide high quality transmission of mass, but also provide large transmission capacity. LDPC and STC coding technology are now widely used in the area of broadband wireless communications research. Low density parity check codes have attracted considerable attention in the coding community because they can achieve near-capacity performance, and many of the applications being explored for LDPC codes, including application to deep space and satellite communications, wireless communications, magnetic storage, and Internet packet transmission. Space-time coding (STC) technology has better spectral efficiency and better communication quality.In this paper, firstly, we give a simple introduction of the encoding/decoding theory of LDPC and Space-time coding. And then, we carry out a detailed research and analysis on LDPC coding system and the space-time block coding system in DVB-S2 and IEEE802.16e standards. At the Next, we finish the study of the LDPC coding system based on DVB-S2 standard and STBC coding system based on IEEE802.16e standard. We complete the task of the realization of the algorithm in the software simulation. Finally, through the simulation and performance analysis of the combination of LDPC coded STBC code system, we find that this method can improve the coding performance, and this algorithms has good application prospects.
